Òscar Parés

Professional Background

Òscar is the founder and CEO of Clínica Synaptica in Barcelona. He served as Deputy Director at ICEERS, with extensive work in drug policy analysis, harm reduction, project coordination, and the Cannabmed program for the regulation of medical cannabis in Spain. He has appeared as an expert before the Spanish Congress on cannabis social clubs and contributed to international research on the cannabis social club model. He has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed studies and reports featured on the ICEERS website on cannabis policy, social clubs and harm reduction.

Òscar actively collaborates with various entities such as the Cáñamo Magazine, Episteme Investigació Social, CATNPUD, Federación Red Micelio (FERM), and RdR Lab.

Education

Òscar has a degree in philosophy and anthropology and a master’s degree in drug addiction from the University of Barcelona. He is a founding member of the «Drug Policy Unit» of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and a collaborating professor at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
