Can Doc

CanDoc describes itself as a tele-medicine platform that enables patients to obtain a medical cannabis prescription online. The main focus is on facilitating access to medical cannabis for various health problems via digital medical review.

Service

CanDoc offers a process whereby users select cannabis products from a live catalogue of medical cannabis flowers, extracts and capsules; complete an online medical questionnaire; upload their ID; and have the information reviewed by qualified physicians from Germany or the EU. If the review finds a medical indication, CanDoc issues an online prescription which is sent directly to a partner pharmacy. The chosen pharmacy then ships the medical cannabis discreetly to the patient.

The site lists a range of potential medical uses for cannabis prescriptions, including chronic pain, sleep disorder, ADHD, depression, and other conditions.

Care pathway

A patient starts by selecting a desired cannabis product from the live stock list. Then they fill in a medical online questionnaire and upload their identity document. A physician reviews the submission and — if there is a medical indication — issues a cannabis prescription online. The prescription is forwarded to the pharmacy selected by the patient, who then dispatches the cannabis to the patient’s address. Payment is handled at checkout (for the prescription fee), and the medicine is shipped from the partner pharmacy.
