Dr. Amy Reichelt, PhD
Dr. Amy Reichelt is a neuroscientist, Chartered Psychologist (BPS), and psychotherapist (RP(Q)) with over 15 years of experience translating cutting-edge brain science into clinically meaningful, human-centred care. She holds a Ph.D. in Behavioural Neuroscience from Cardiff University, has authored more than 70 scientific publications, and delivered a TEDx talk exploring the impact of junk food on the teenage brain. Amy also holds advanced training in trauma therapy, psychedelic-assisted therapy and integrative mental health approaches, with a particular interest in the therapeutic potential of neuroplasticity, embodiment, and altered states in psychological healing.
Amy is the founder of Cultivae, a Toronto-based private practice integrating psychotherapy, neuroscience, and nutrition-informed mental health care. Her work supports individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, stress-related conditions, emotional eating, and behaviour change through a deeply compassionate, evidence-based lens.
Drawing on modalities including ACT, CBT, somatic and trauma-informed therapies, existential and relational frameworks, Amy combines scientific rigour with warmth, curiosity, and whole-person care. Her approach is grounded in both neuroscience and lived human experience, with a strong emphasis on nervous system regulation, meaning-making, and sustainable psychological wellbeing.
In parallel, Amy advises life-science and mental health companies on clinical trial strategy, translational neuroscience, and psychedelic medicine development. She is widely recognised for her ability to bridge complex science with accessible education for clinicians, patients, and the public, and has worked internationally as a neuroscience key opinion leader and consultant across mental health, nutrition, and emerging therapeutics.
Amy is passionate about preventative mental health and empowering individuals with practical tools grounded in resilience science, neuroplasticity, and integrative wellbeing.
